National touch, the past and present of inventory control technology

Before the touch screen

Although Apple is not the creator of touch screens, it does bring touch technology and touch control to consumers. In fact, before the iPhone, humans have begun to apply touch sensing to the design of consumer products for LCD screens. For example, early Palm, Sony Ericsson, HTC, etc. have already begun to try applications, but the real impressive thing has to start with the iPod.

From iPod to iPhone 2003-2007

The iPhone can be simply summarized as the iPod Touch with the call function, and the iPod itself is named with innovative touch control, as early as the iPod Touch (2007), that is, the technology before the touch screen-Click Wheel (click Touch wheel).

Click Wheel first appeared on the third generation of the iPod produced in 2003. After three years of human factors engineering trials and verification, the product was replaced with the touch dial to replace the mobile parts of the previous mobile dial design, and in the subsequent iPod mini products. Before Apple ’s touch dial, there was a smaller touch design. The pointing stick was used in notebook computers earlier than the touchpad. The most representative one is IBM ’s Thinkpad (acquired after 2005). Little red dot.

In 1992, the first notebook computer named ThinkPad, ThinkPad700C, was born, and the process of ThinkPad leading the development of mobile computing technology began.
