Seoul Semiconductor Introduces Chip-Chip Direct-Load ZC Series LED Package

On December 7, 2011, Seoul Semiconductor introduced the ZC series of chip-on-board (COB) direct current (DC) LED packages. This series reduces thermal resistance and significantly extends the life of LED lighting. In addition, the series also helps manufacturers easily install and design competitive products.

The ZC series is designed with a chip-on-board package that eliminates the need for LEDs to be surface mounted on metal plates, eliminating the need for manufacturers to eliminate the chip connection process before use. Corporate customers can significantly increase the price competitiveness of end products while reducing manufacturing and management costs.

In addition, the ZC series package uses a highly reflective aluminum substrate that greatly increases brightness and extends the life of LED bulbs. Compared with a plurality of LED modules and a single module, the LED bulb developed by using a single chip in the ZC series will have a more uniform light distribution.

The Seoul Semiconductor ZC series will be available in 6 watt, 10 watt and 16 watt specifications, replacing 40 watts, 60 watts and 100 watt incandescent lamps in terms of lighting power.
