Motorola Xyboard tablet officially shipped today

Earlier this month, Motorola launched a second-generation XOOM2 “Xyboard” tablet pre-order on its official website. January 18 was the expected date of shipment. However, Motorola has only announced the official shipment of this Tablet PC with Android3.2 "cellular" operating system until today.

Motorola announced today that the Xyboard is a Wi-Fi version, and Verizon's 4G LTE version will be shipped later. The outside world hopes that Motorola will accelerate the pace of shipment and will not repeat the 8-month delay in shipment of the Motorola XOOM 4G LTE.

The price of the Xyboard 8.2-inch display 16GB model is $399.99, and the price of the 32GB model is $499.99. In addition, the Xyboard 10.1-inch 16GB model with a larger screen costs 499.99 US dollars, and the 32GB version costs 599.99 US dollars. All of these Wi-Fi models are about $200 lower than the Verizon LTE contract price.

For unknown reasons, Motorola also delayed the Android4.0 ice cream sandwich landing Xyboard time, the current Xyboard users can get upgrades is not yet clear.
