Samsung will establish UHDTV content ecosystem

[PConline News] Recently, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that Samsung will help increase the speed of consumer access to UHDTV content through cooperation with global content providers and further expand the UHD ecosystem.

The company plans to launch Amazon's UHD VOD service globally in October, and at the same time expand Netflix's UHD VOD service across Europe. It is understood that Netflix's UHD VOD service has expanded to the United States and other countries since March of last year. Netflix opened the UHD streaming service with a popular American TV series "The House of Cards", which is currently available on Samsung UHD Ultra HDTVs.

In addition, Samsung has also strengthened cooperation with European content providers such as maxdome, Wuaki.tv, and CHILI to obtain more UHD content and move toward a more powerful UHD ecosystem.

Samsung Electronics has been committed to providing consumers with more UHD content in the European market. In May, Samsung teamed up with the Vienna State Opera House to provide opera Nabucco, one of the three major tenor Domingo, through the application of the Vienna Opera House. The global broadcast brings viewers a visual viewing experience that is as exciting as in the front row of the opera house. In the 2014-15 season, Samsung plans to launch more than ten programs on UHD. One of the highlights of the program is that on the eve of New Year's Eve there will be a light opera “bat” from John Strauss.
