Universal Studios Japan is rolling out a special limited-time experience called the "Final Fantasy XR Journey," offering fans an immersive adventure through the world of Final Fantasy. The attraction, which combines a pre-existing space-themed roller coaster with cutting-edge VR technology, allows guests to step into the universe of their favorite game series.
The project features a range of iconic characters and elements from the Final Fantasy franchise, including the legendary villain Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, as well as Cloud, Lightning, and many others. The visual effects were created by Square Enix's FX Studio Visual Works, known for producing high-quality cutscenes for numerous games in the series.
This unique experience is part of Universal Studios Japan’s annual event lineup and is currently closed to the public. However, it will be open at the Osaka location from January 19th to June 24th, giving fans a chance to explore this thrilling fusion of gaming and theme park entertainment.
