Tongfang accelerates the construction of LED industry chain
Recently, Tsinghua Tongfang invested a total of 2.5 billion yuan and an annual output of 4 million digital TV projects in the electronic industrial park of Hedong Industrial Park in Qinzhou, Guangxi. This is the project with the largest investment and highest technology content introduced by the industrial park. In addition, Tsinghua Tongfang invested in the construction and design of 4 LED backlight LCD module production lines with a capacity of 2 million units in Shenyang base. It has now completed the commissioning work and will enter the mass production stage. At the same time, Tongfang selected a new factory in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, and will invest 500 million yuan to establish a wholly-owned Tongfang (Nantong) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. to engage in the production and development of LED backlight modules and LED lighting products. After the project is put into production, Tongfang’s LED TV production capacity will be greatly expanded to effectively alleviate the capacity bottleneck.
