LUMEX announced the global release of the company's through-hole QuasarBrite 4-pin RGB color mode LED. With a market-leading 120-degree viewing angle, the QuasarBrite 4-pin RGB color mode LED is ideal for applications where high-intensity illumination is required in a limited space. The additional 4-pin RGB color mode LED QuasarBrite features an innovative leadframe design that provides superior heat dissipation while providing opportunities for cost savings and real estate savings.

QuasarBrite 4-pin RGB color mode LEDs provide superior visual performance. A conventional through-hole LED has a viewing angle of 30 to 60 degrees, but the QuasarBrite 4-pin RGB color mode LED has a viewing angle of 120 degrees. This RGB color mode combined with an extended viewing angle provides consistent, well-matched visual performance with a balanced viewing angle across the display.

The QuasarBrite 4-pin RGB mode LED embodies the pinframe features of the enhanced thermal design with superior thermal performance for longer life expectancy. The off-the-board also provides enhanced convective heat transfer, and air is free to pass through the four sides of the epoxy to create a more efficient cooling effect.
