China becomes the world's largest smartphone producer

The mobile internet is changing the industrial structure and changing the behavior of netizens. In 2012, the number of mobile Internet users in China, the application level, the popularity of terminals, and the market size all showed rapid growth. China Internet Network Information Center data show that as of the end of December last year, China's mobile Internet users reached 420 million, accounting for 74.5% of Internet users.

Last year, China’s smart terminal shipments reached 224 million, and it has become the world’s largest smart phone producer.

Guided by the open platform and application store model, the mobile Internet has highlighted the industrial value of music, e-commerce, games, and search. In 2012, there were more than 730,000 applications on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad platforms, and nearly 150,000 on the China Mobile MM platform.

It is worth noting that in 2012, the number of WeChat users exceeded 200 million, which had a strong impact on traditional voice and SMS services.

The industry expects that by 2015 China's mobile Internet market will reach 429.6 billion yuan, with more than 800 million active users.
