This TV came from a hotel we work with. The last batch of screens were always stored in a small dark room. When I tested it, the TV had sound but the screen was gray with horizontal lines. The screen is integrated with the logic board. There was no output on the 25V input side of the VGH filter IC. After testing the VGH resistance, it was unstable. When I disconnected the VGH from the current limiting resistor on the screen, the IC output voltage fluctuated between 22V. This suggested that the edge board was fine. The issue must be coming from inside the screen or the connector.

In recent years, BBQ repairs have become more common. I've already fixed a few screens with jumper solutions, but never seen an internal short. If the small board burns out, it's better to replace the screen or scrap it. I tried applying 12V, then 15V, and 17V, but nothing happened. When I increased it to 20V, I didn’t check the ammeter, but I saw a small spark at the screen’s connector. It was a bit disappointing that I didn’t get a big flash. Then I measured the resistance from VGH to ground and it returned to normal, around hundreds of KΩ. I cleaned the line, applied some insulating paint, and retested. The conclusion was that there was a cable leakage issue.
