Should be powered by DC power

Some manufacturers use the "resistance-resistance and step-down" method to supply power to LED products in order to reduce the cost of products, which will directly affect the life of LED products. Using a dedicated switching power supply to power LED products will not affect the service life of the product, but the product cost is relatively high.

Need to take anti-static measures

LED products must adopt certain anti-static measures during the processing and production process, such as grounding the workbench, workers wearing anti-static clothing, anti-static rings and anti-static gloves, etc., and can install anti-static ion fans under certain conditions. Also ensure that the humidity in the workshop is about 65%, so as to prevent the air from being too dry to generate static electricity, especially the green LED is more susceptible to electrostatic damage.

Many electrostatic problems are caused by people's lack of ESD (electrostatic discharge) awareness, because most ESD damages occur outside of human perception, because the human body's perception voltage for electrostatic discharge is about 3KV, and many electronic components are in the air. It can be damaged when it is 100 volts or even tens of volts. Usually, after the electronic device is damaged by ESD, there is no obvious limit. After the component is mounted on the PCB and then tested, there are many problems and the analysis is quite difficult.

LED temperature

It is important to note that an increase in temperature will cause the internal resistance of the LED to become smaller. When the ambient temperature rises, the internal resistance of the LED light source will decrease. If the power supply is stabilized, the operating current of the LED will increase. When the rated operating current is exceeded, the service life of the LED product will be affected, which will seriously The LED light source is "burned out", so it is best to use a constant current source to ensure that the operating current of the LED is not affected by the external temperature.

Sealing of LED products

No matter what LED products are used, as long as they are applied outdoors, they are faced with waterproof and moisture-proof sealing problems. If not handled well, it will directly affect the service life of LED products. Nowadays, a small number of manufacturers who have higher requirements for product quality use traditional epoxy "watering" methods to seal LED products. This method is cumbersome to operate, and it will increase the weight of products for larger LED products. .

LED current cannot exceed the IF current of the LED

Over-current work will cause the LED life to drop quickly, and if it is exceeded, the LED will burn out immediately.

LED folding angle must pay attention

When the LED is bent or chamfered, please do not be too close to the gel. Keep the distance between the gel and the gel for more than 2mm. Otherwise, the bracket inside the LED colloid should be separated from the gold wire. The folding angle should not exceed three times in the same place. 90 degrees, then return to the original position for 1 time.

Welding temperature

The soldering temperature is around 260 degrees Celsius, the time is controlled within 5S, the soldering point is 2.5mm or more from the bottom of the gel, and the soldering iron must be grounded. It is absolutely not allowed to solder the LED.
