What is semiconductor lighting?
Semiconductor illumination refers to illumination using solid-state light-emitting devices as a light source, also known as solid state lighting. Solid-state devices include light-emitting diodes (LEDs), organic light-emitting diodes ( OLEDs ), or quantum light-emitting diodes (QLEDs), but currently referred to as semiconductor lighting mainly refers to illumination using light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
A light emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light by electro-solids. The LED is a semiconductor that emits photons of visible wavelength, that is, not all semiconductors are called LEDs, and LED lighting devices do not use gas. And filaments, no fragile glass bulbs, no moving parts that are prone to failure, so the effective service life is far greater than traditional lighting equipment.
The energy radiated by the LED is mainly visible light, the infrared radiation is negligible, there is almost no ultraviolet light, and the full-color LED lighting device can produce almost any color, matt occlusion or without the use of color filters, filters or other extra equipment. Absorption, energy saving and easy adjustment of LED color and brightness, so the application of LED lighting technology is more and more extensive.
What are the LED chip types?

According to the output power of the LED chip, the chip can be divided into small power LEDs (tens of milliwatts), medium power LEDs (less than 0.5 watts, such as 0.3 watts) and power LEDs (normal power LEDs are less than 1 watt, Class W power LEDs are greater than or equal to 1 watt).
LED chips can be classified into indicator LEDs and illumination LEDs depending on the purpose of the LED.
Indicator-type LEDs are usually referred to as traditional LED structures and are available in lead-type lamps, such as 5 mm LEDs, which are characterized by low cost, low power, and are commonly used for illumination of displays or tools in electronic devices.
Illuminated LEDs are high efficiency (HE), high brightness LED (HB) and high power LED (HP) types, and are available in a chip package (SMT), power package (HP) or chip on board ( COB ) It is characterized by long service life, high power, energy saving and environmental protection. It can provide functional lighting, and the light output is basically higher than or equal to the traditional light source.
