AMD wants to recruit 500 engineers in India: Develop AR and VR

According to "The Economic Times," US semiconductor company AMD plans to expand the Indian team by nearly 40% and recruit 500 engineers to develop AR and VR. "We want to start AR and VR. We are looking for new blood, but we will also upgrade our existing talents with skills training," said Kiranmai Pendyala, AMD's chief human resources manager. In addition, AMD has long been looking for talents at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Texas, and the Indian Institute of High Technology. The U.S. company currently has 1,300 employees in India, of which 18% are women, which is higher than the global average of 15%. More than half of their employees are located outside the United States.
