Apple wins new patent: launches voice recognition docking station built-in Siri voice assistant
Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: Beijing time on July 20 morning news, Apple's latest patents show that the company may be more hardware products, so that Siri personal assistants better integrated into your home.
The iPhone maker released the HomePod high-end speaker last month with a built-in Siri voice assistant. But if the patent is just obtained by Apple, the company may integrate Siri into more hardware.
The patent is called "Intelligent Docking Station for activating the voice recognition mode of portable electronic devices." It details a docking station with a microphone and processor.
Of course, this is just a patent, and companies often put it on the shelf after they apply for a patent. But the patent is worthy of attention because Apple, Amazon and Google are all fiercely competing in the voice assistant and smart home markets.
These companies have introduced voice smart speakers, but Amazon's Echo Dot is the only cheaper product. Google also said it hopes to integrate its voice assistant software into more home products.
Apple has not commented on this yet.
