Xiamen port environmental protection energy-saving lamps exports open
On January 8th, 4,716 solar LED lamps qualified by Xiamen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau were shipped from Xiamen to the European Union. This is by far the largest batch of exports from Xiamen Port. Solar LED lamps have extremely high environmental performance: zero mercury pollution, zero electromagnetic interference, which is conducive to recycling, no eye injury, and life expectancy of more than 6 years, more than 20 times that of ordinary light bulbs and lamps.
In 2009, Xiamen solar LED lamps achieved 879 batches and 11.41 million US dollars. Xiamen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has increased the development of environmental protection LED lamp industry from two aspects: First, comprehensively track the revision process of international optoelectronic technology regulations, guide enterprises to implement process improvement and technology update, and improve product environmental performance and quality and safety. The second is to dock the development plan of Haixi Optoelectronics Industry, formulate the rules for the supervision of LED lights quality, and improve the timeliness of customs clearance through the implementation of classified management.
