Off-season plus year-end packaging factory Hongqi December revenue decline
Due to the traditional low quarter, coupled with downstream application vendors for year-end inventory, LED packaging factory Hongqi (6168) December 2009 revenue fell sharply by 23% from the previous month, only NT$213 million, but a year-on-year growth of 73.8%. Accumulated revenue in 2009 was 2.704 billion yuan, down 6.1% year-on-year. The fourth quarter revenue was 760 million yuan, and the quarter was 5%.
At present, Hongqi's main revenue source is SMD LED package products. The main application market is small and medium-sized backlights. The blue and white LED packages account for about 65%-70% of the total revenue. Others include general optical products and RGB tri-color packages. The total revenue of LEDs is about 25%, and the revenue of high power high-power LED products is about 5%. At present, the capacity utilization rate of Hongqi is not fully loaded. However, if large-size backlight products are shipped smoothly, the existing production capacity will soon be insufficient. In response to business expansion, Hongqi has plans to build a new LED packaging plant in Hsinchu. It is expected that equipment will be installed in the second quarter of 2010 and will be put into operation in the second half of the year. After the new capacity is put into production, the production capacity of Hongqi's SMD LED package will be expanded from the original 650 million/month to 1 billion/month.
Recently, the market has announced that Hongqi has received orders for LED backlight products from China TV TV and monitor Monitor. At the same time, it is being sent to mainland China, Japan and South Korea for certification. However, Hong Qi said that large-size backlight products are released. The progress of the goods may not be so fast. In the initial stage, the sample is still certified, only a small amount of shipments, the larger order will be more clear in the second quarter.
