SILICON LABS acquires leading RTOS manufacturer MICRIUM
October 3, 2016 – Silicon Labs (also known as “core technologyâ€) today announced the acquisition of Micrium, the industry's leading Internet of Things (IoT) real-time operating system (RTOS) software provider. This strategic acquisition helps all developers simplify IoT design and integrate industry-leading commercial-grade embedded RTOS with Silicon Labs' IoT expertise and solutions. Micrium's RTOS and software tools will continue to be available to partners around the world, offering a wide range of options, including non-Silicon Labs hardware.
