EU issued a warning on consumption of Shanghai Sanjiang ceramic table lamp
On August 3, 2007, the European Commission's non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning to the ceramic table lamps produced by Shanghai Sanjiang Lighting Equipment Factory. The notified country in this case is Hungary. The lamp's style/model is HB-05; the lampshade is made of ceramics, and the lamp is 230V, 24W (manufactured by Philips); this product poses a risk of electric shock to the user. This product does not comply with the European Union's Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN60598-1.
Currently, the Hungarian authorities have ordered the importer or retailer to withdraw the goods from the market and implement the recall.
It is recommended that domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
